Twenty Minutes Later – Woo Hoo!

A SMOOTH ROAD – Yipppeeeee!
Nothing brings out the neighborhood like a good old fashioned asphalt laying! :)
It’s actually pretty amazing how fast they are able to do it. The dump truck backs up to the asphalt layer and starts to dump.
It looked like the dump truck was in neutral and the asphalt layer pushed it [...]

Rude Awakening…somewhat

So THIS isn’t what we wanted to see (OR HEAR) when we woke up this morning! Two dudes with headbands and a JACKHAMMER!
For some reason as they were putting the sewer lines in last summer, they buried the manhole in front of our yard. Didn’t make sense to us at the time, and it still [...]

Big Truck!

“Big Truck” is all that Ryan has been saying for the past few days. So what does he do when we get to take a picture on the big truck?

Getting closer!

Look at the BIG “kitty” at the end of our street! Actually, it’s about 75-100 yards away! My guess is that they’ll be in front of our house in a few days! (Forget about nap time when that happens! Maybe we’ll have to take road trips!)

So it begins…

….we’re FINALLY going to get sewers in our neighborhood!
Yipppeeee!!!
I know, it’s a strange thing to be excited about, but we’ve been living with a cess pool since we moved in! (Never heard of a cess pool? It’s just a hole in the ground! Nope…no septic for us, we’re living in the “dark ages! hehe) I [...]
